OH, CANADA!

I am such a bandwagon-er.
Or, I have a particular fondness for free paraphernalia.
Well, I'd like to point out: duh.

With the Olympics happening within the vicinity, practically, of "my" neighbourhood, it was hard to be apathetic about them for too long.
Free concerts, zip-lining, fireworks, need I say more!
"Yeah, I don't care. I'm indifferent and completely unfazed by all this."
YOU SEE HOW DIFFICULT THAT WOULD BE!?
And so goes my story.
Canadian patriotism was felt for the first time by yours truly.
Oooo, and Shane Koyczan was yet again quite superb, at the Opening Ceremonies. Youtube him. He's a slam poet. He's good.

In other exciting fashion-y news, last week I went to Value Village's 50% off sale! Some lust-worthy things were bought, some well-worth-it time was taken off from school. Rebellious? Hell yes. Stay tuned, I'll be wearing 'em in future blog posts. (Am I talking to myself, or not? Let me know; leave a comment. Why yes I am refraining from sounding desperate, yet again. Clever? Oh I know.)

Also, no one answered last time. I WOULD LIKE A PRETTY BLOG HEADER. IS ANYBODY IN CYBERSPACE WILLING TO BE KIND TO THIS 17 YEAR OLD (who very well may be a 45 year old for all you know). 'CAUSE IN CASE Y'ALL HAVEN'T NOTICED MY HEADERS CHANGE TOO OFTEN AND THEY'RE ALL AMATEUR-ish. Kay, thanks.

Oh, and I know there are supremely creative people out there, so this may seem insignificant and sympathy-inducing, but huff puff, I DIY'd a necklace quite recently. I'm proud of this baby:

Born on January-something 2010, weighing a healthy 0.35 pounds. Its forefathers include: black duct tape, thread, needle, sequins, and an old chain.

Here, I wear her:

 ON ME:
  • yellow shirt-- Old Navy, I stole it. Almost: $2.
  • black dress/thing--Request, $?
  • wetlook leggings--Urban Outfitters, $5
  • yellow patent flats--Urban Behaviour, $5 --sooopa old.
  • BIG, FAT, GORGEOUS RING--Forever 21, $4.38--I got a 10% discount 'cause one of the petals' was missing. Ha!
  • bracelet--Jules and James, gifted
  • teal, sequined clutch of awesome--Walmart (yeah, really), $4
  • necklace--DIY. :)
Now, get on out of here love.

THE CLUTCH IS FROM WALMART?! OHMYGOD.
Which Walmart? There are, like, two in Surrey... which one of the two?! I need to hunt for a twin of that clutch! I WANT I WANT!
And the sequin-necklace is made of awesome. If you didn't tell me you made it yourself, I would've assumed it was from one of those ridiculously priced stores. Especially in the picture taken from further away... the sequins look like rhinestones.
And I love the flag counter on the sidebar... you're getting French and German visitors, too! :P
